Chris Dorr – Executive Director
Chris Dorr is the founder and Executive Director of the North Carolina Firearms Coalition, the Tar Heel State’s leading grassroots organization dedicated to defending and advancing the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding North Carolinians.
Under Chris’s leadership, NCFC has become the most aggressive and effective pro-gun voice in Raleigh. The organization is known for its principled, no-compromise stance on the Second Amendment and for mobilizing tens of thousands of supporters to take action at critical moments — whether that’s repealing North Carolina’s outdated Permit-to-Purchase law, stopping dangerous Red Flag Gun Confiscation schemes, or pushing hard for Permitless Carry and the Second Amendment Protection Act.
Chris Dorr brings a results-driven, transparent, and confrontational style to political advocacy. He believes the right to keep and bear arms is not negotiable — it’s a God-given right enshrined in both the U.S. and North Carolina Constitutions. By holding politicians accountable regardless of party, he has helped reshape the political landscape on gun rights across the state.
As one of the Dorr Brothers, fighting for gun rights is in his blood. Chris and his wife Lydia have nine children. A former heavy equipment operator (working massive projects in Charlotte and Raleigh) and cattle feeder, Chris caught the politics bug in 2007 working for the Ron Paul for President campaign in various states.
A Christian, a homeschooling father, and outdoorsman, he is committed to passing down the Christian Western values of faith, freedom, and personal responsibility that built our nation to the next generation.
